Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne hoping that all good things come in threes when it comes to selling one of their last remaining properties in Los Angeles.
The rock’n’roll couple announced in 2022 that they plan to return permanently to their native Britain, where they met after living in the United States for more than two decades.
Since then, they have offered their two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom condo in the coveted Sierra Towers building no less than three times, starting in May 2023 when it hit the market with an asking price of $4,795,000.
In June of the same year, it was relisted at the same price before being removed just a few days later.
With a discount of $300,000, the property is “truly exceptional,” the ad says.
A jewel from Hollywood
Offering 215 square feet of living space, the property features a large primary suite with a spacious bathroom and a huge walk-in closet. A second en-suite bedroom can be used as both an office and a “perfect guest room for occasional guests,” the listing says.
“Rarely is a fully renovated, custom-built residence of this caliber offered in this building,” it continues.
Ozzy, 75, and Sharon, 71, bought the house in 2014 for $4 million, just a fraction of the price they are asking now.
It was reported that the house was primarily used as a residence for the daughter. Kelly Osbournewho rose to fame as a teenager when she appeared alongside her parents in their hit MTV reality series “The Osbournes.”
On the way home?
The decision to put the house up for sale again could be a sign that Ozzy and Sharon are finally preparing to officially return to the UK, where they own a stunning property in Buckinghamshire.
After the couple announced their decision to return to their home country in 2022, there were several delays, largely due to Ozzy’s health issues.
The Black Sabbath The frontman announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
In an interview with “Good Morning America,” he explained that his illness was discovered due to nerve pain.
In January 2024, he also said he had undergone a whopping “seven surgeries” in five years, including a spinal procedure in September 2023.
Speaking about their move in a July 2024 episode of her eponymous podcast, Sharon admitted that the couple were keen to return to the UK permanently, but that “every time we want to leave, something happens with Ozzy’s health”.
“We can do it,” she added. “We want to go back so badly, but we can do it. Right, Ozzy?”
times are changing
Speaking to The Observer in August 2022, the couple discussed their reasons for wanting to leave America once and for all.
“It’s just about time. America has changed so drastically,” Sharon said. “It’s not the United States of America at all. Nothing is uniform here. It’s a very strange place to live right now.”
In classic Ozzy style, the rocker argued bluntly.
“Everything there is ridiculous. I’m sick of people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And then there was that mass shooting at that concert in Vegas. … It’s crazy,” he said.
“And I don’t want to die in America. I’m English. I want to go back. But if my wife says we have to go to Timbuktu and live there, then I’ll go. But no, it’s just time for me to come home,” he said.
