In May SoundCloud gave us a bit of a shock when their then-last app update changed the application icon on our phones’ home screens. It took some time to get used to the black. There was also a time when it was blue in a collaboration with Billie Eilish!
SoundCloud now offers its users the ability to customize the app logo on their mobile devices (iOS and Android), adding a new level of personalization to the user experience. Free Users can choose from the classic SoundCloud logos in orange And Black. In the meantime, Go, Next+And NextPro Subscribers enjoy a wider selection, including seven exclusive new designs: chrome, Rose gold, Silver, delicate purple, bright pink, BatikAnd leopardThis feature allows users to customize the look and feel of the app to better match their personal preferences and home screen aesthetics.
The update not only improves visual personalization but also aims to deepen user engagement by enabling a more customized experience. On a iPhone:
- Open the Settings page in the SoundCloud app on your iPhone.
- Select “App icon”.
- Select your preferred icon from the available options.
On a Android Device:
- Open the Settings page in the SoundCloud app by clicking the icon in the top right of your Library page.
- Select “Basic Settings”.
- Select “Change app icon”.
- Select your preferred icon from the available options.
- Your app will restart while it implements the change.
