Special summary revision of photo electoral roll for Mokokchung district announced » MokokchungTimes.com

Deputy Commissioner and District Electoral Officer (DC & DEO) Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has informed all stakeholders about the Special Summary Revision (SSR) programme of the photo electoral roll with reference to 1 January 2025 as the cut-off date. The rationalisation of polling stations will be carried out as per the detailed schedule below:

Activities before the audit

1. Verification by BLOs: Rationalisation and rearrangement of polling stations, removal of discrepancies in the electoral roll/EPIC and improvement of image quality by replacing blurry or poor quality photographs and non-human images. Redesign of sections/parts, finalisation of proposed restructuring of section/part boundaries and approval of list of polling stations. Identification of gaps, finalisation of strategies and timelines to address these gaps and updating of control table. These activities will be carried out from 20 August 2024 to 18 October 2024.

2. Preparation: Preparation of formats 1 to 8 and the integrated draft list with reference to 1 January 2025, since the cut-off date will be from 19 October 2024 to 28 October 2024.

3. Revision activities: Publication of the integrated draft electoral register on 29 October 2024.

4. Claims and objections: The period for filing claims and objections runs from October 20, 2024 to November 28, 2024.

5. Special promotional dates: Special promotional dates on Saturdays and Sundays within the complaint and objection period (will be determined by the Managing Director).

6. Removal of claims and objections: Claims and objections will be removed by December 24, 2024. Health parameters will be reviewed and Commission approval will be obtained for final publication. The database will be updated and supplements will be printed by January 1, 2025.

7. Final publication: The final publication of the electoral roll will take place on 6 January 2025.

All BLOs, Supervisors and AEROs in Mokokchung District were requested to adhere to the schedule as per the instructions of the Commission.
