Tata Power to report profit of INR 1,189 million in Q1 FY 2025

Tata Powerone of India’s largest integrated energy companies, has a net profit (profit after tax) of INR 1,189 million (around 141.64 million US dollars) for the first quarter of fiscal year 2024-25, a year-on-year growth of 31%. This is also the highest PAT growth ever and the 19th consecutive quarter.

Tata Forces Sales increased by 12% year-on-year to a record high of INR 16,810 Croresand EBITDA increased by 11% to INR 3,350 Crores in the first quarter of the 2025 financial year.

The Company attributed this outstanding performance to strong operational performance and excellent execution across its generation, transmission and distribution, and renewable energy businesses. These businesses contributed 84% of PAT in the first quarter of FY2025, compared to 72% in the same period of FY2024.

Tata Power has a clean and green installed capacity of 6.1 GW (3,743 MW solar, 1,034 MW wind, 880 MW hydro and 443 MW waste heat recovery/BFG) as of Q1 FY25, representing 41% of its total power generation capacity of 14,960 MW. An additional 5.3 GW renewable capacity is under execution. The combined order book for utility-scale solar EPC and rooftop solar, including captive projects, is INR 15,500 Crores.

Tata Power aims for a 20% market share in the residential roof segment, thanks to its new solar production facility and a workforce of over 500India Sales partner network.

The company has started manufacturing solar modules at its newly constructed 4.3 GW solar module and cell factory in Tirunelveli. Tamil NaduThe plant produced 600 MW of modules and generated INR 1,000 Crores Sales in the first quarter and a profit of INR 54 crores in Q1FY25. Cell production is expected to begin this month.

The company is working towards large-scale round-the-clock availability (RTC) by exploiting the enormous potential of hydropower through the development of the 600 MW Khorlochhu power plant in Bhutanand the upcoming 2800 MW pumped storage power plants in Maharashtra.
