Taylor Swift’s new “Midnights” bodysuit could be a foretaste of the “Rep (TV)” announcement

Taylor Swift, who is “cryptic and Machiavellian” because she cares, may be hinting at an upcoming announcement with her latest outfit on the Eras Tour.

The 34-year-old singer of “Mastermind” presented a bodysuit for the first time during the midnight Part of her London show on Friday, August 16. If history repeats itself, she could announce the release date of her next re-recorded album, possibly Call (Taylor’s version), at their show on August 17th.

The fresh bodysuit with stars and a crescent moon reminds of the time when she had a new midnight Outfit the day before her announcement 1989 (Taylor’s version) in August 2023. She finally published the 1989 Re-recorded with bonus vault tracks in October 2023.

If this schedule continues this year, Swift could announce Call (Taylor’s Version) on stage on Saturday and will then possibly release it two months later before Halloween, capitalizing on the snake motif and spooky “Look What You Made Me Do” video from the original 2017 release.

The announcement on August 9, 2023, was made at her last US stop last year. This possible message could come at one of her three final European stops in London on August 17, 19 or 20.

Call (Taylor’s Version) would be the fifth re-recording for Swift, following the re-releases of 1989 in 2023, Speak Now in July 2023, Red in November 2021 and Fearless in April 2021.

The 14-time Grammy winner Taylor’s version Blitz is said to be demanding her music catalog back after Scooter Braun acquired her albums from former label Big Machine against her will in 2019.

Swift confirmed in August 2019 that she would re-record her albums.

“I think artists have the right to own their works,” told Good morning America‘s Robin Roberts. “It’s just something that’s very close to my heart.”

In TIMESwift discussed reviving her Call era and describes the upcoming release as “a gothic-punk moment of female rage at being driven insane by an entire social structure.”

“I think a lot of people see it and just think: sick snakes and strobe lights,” Swift explained, adding that the Vault tracks will be “fiery” and that re-releasing her albums feels like “collecting Horcruxes” or “collecting Infinity Stones,” referring to Harry Potter And Wonder Movies.

“Gandalf’s voice is in my head every time I release a new song,” she said, repeating Lord of the rings into the mix. “For me it’s a film now.”
