The 138th annual North Royalton Community Festival begins Friday

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio – One of the city’s oldest traditions, the annual Community Festival, begins Friday, marking the event’s 138th year.

The free event takes place on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Visitors can enjoy rides, food vendors and live entertainment. A full list of scheduled live entertainment can be found online.

The Olde Timer Banquet, hosted by the North Royalton Lions Club, returns Saturday. The event is free and open to senior residents age 70 and older who have called North Royalton home for 30 years or more.

Saturday evening ends with the annual fireworks display. The fireworks are set off in the open field between Ridge and State Roads. City Green is recommended as the best viewing spot.

The weekend events culminate with the annual parade. The parade begins at 3 p.m. at St. Albert the Great Church, continues onto Wallings Road, then turns south onto Ridge Road and ends at North Royalton Middle School. The parade route passes the City Green where spectators can gather.
