In the third millennium, the world was changing. The climate. The nations. Everything was changing. Humanity itself was becoming as violent as the planet. Civilization threatened to collapse. And then… a solution was found. The crumbling legal system was merged with the overburdened police force, creating a powerful and efficient hybrid. These new guardians of society had the power to both administer justice and punish. They were police, jury and executioner all in one. They were the judges!
When violent block wars break out in Mega-City One, there is only one man the Justice Department can rely on to quench the flames of rebellion. His name is Judge Dredd.
But when the city’s brightest representative of justice is found guilty of breaking the very law he was entrusted to uphold, he is sentenced to spend the rest of his life rotting in Aspen Penitentiary.
To clear his name, Dredd must escape from captivity, traverse the toxic Cursed Earth, return to the city, and find the familiar enemy who tricked him. For Judge Dredd, it’s all just another day at work.
Featuring artwork by legendary Judge Dredd co-creator Carlos Ezquerra (preacher) and a screenplay by Andrew Helfer (The Shadow), this is the official adaptation of Judge Dreddthe 1995 film written by William Wisher, Jr. (Terminator 2: Judgment Day) and Steven E. de Souza (Die Hard).
