“The Rings of Power” reveals first look at Ciarán Hinds’ “Dark Wizard”

Before the release of The Rings of Power In season 2, Prime Video gave a first look at a new character, Dark Wizard. Played by Oscar-nominated actor Ciarán Hinds, the new addition is expected to add more nuance to the story.

Season 2 of “The Rings of Power” features an important villain from the “Lord of the Rings” films

In Season 2 of The Rings of Power, Shelob, the legendary villain from The Lord of the Rings, returns while Isildur fights for survival in Mordor.


The full description states that the character is “a dark and powerful wizard whose origins and intentions are shrouded in mystery and who has a legion of magic-wielding acolytes who obey his every command – including the three travelers who sought out the stranger at the end of the first season… on the orders of the Dark Wizard.”

Apart from Hinds, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 will see Kinnear as popular book character Tom Bombadil and Moodie as Guandabel. They will appear alongside newcomers Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen “Zates” Atour, Ben Daniels, Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, Nicholas Woodeson, Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Stuart Bowman, Gavi Singh Chera, William Chubb, Kevin Eldon, Will Keen, Selina Lo. and Calam Lynch.


The Rings of Power Season 2 will reveal the Stranger’s identity and his origin story as a wizard, executive producers Patrick McKay and Lindsey Weber confirmed to ScreenRant. With Hinds’ entry into the series as the Dark Wizard, her characters’ stories may become muddled, as the upcoming season will also follow the Stranger’s “origin story as a wizard.”

Amazon Studios boss Jennifer Salke teased that they are trying to The Rings of Power has been on the air for five seasons, although season 3 has not been confirmed yet, but there has been a lot of talk about it. Showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay recently stated that they are trying to make it happen, as reports claimed season 3 is in early development. “All we can say is we’re working on it,” he told the Hollywood Reporter. “We’re cooking.
