The incarnations of the God Tree, also known as Shinju, are the main antagonists of Boruto Two Blue Vortex – we’ve ranked all five from weakest to strongest.
Boruto Two Blue Vortex begins three years after the events of Part 1. After Isshiki Otsutsuki’s death, control of the Ten-Tails (God Tree) passed to Code. To better utilize the tree’s powers, he created four Shinju from four different shinobi.
The Shinju were created after Code’s Claw Grimes consumed various individuals. Despite their origins, they all have different personalities and motivations, and they have proven to be stronger than their creator.
There are currently four Shinju in Boruto Two Blue Vortex. However, Chapter 13 hints at the arrival of a fifth member, although their origin is currently unknown. However, since they will play a significant role in the story moving forward, we have included the unborn Shinju in our rankings.
5. Unborn Shinju
ShueishaIn Chapter 13, Jura and Mamushi retreat to their hideout to free Hidari from the Soul Thorn. But there is another object there: a new seed that Matsuri is cultivating. At the end of the chapter, the object is about to hatch and give birth to the fifth Shinju.
So far, we don’t know which character was used to create the new incarnation. Many believe it will be a well-known character like Guy or Kakashi. However, the most plausible is that it was created by Shinki, who appears as Shinju in Kashin Koji’s foreshadowing.
4. Mamushi
ShueishaMamushi was created from Bug, an Outer of Kara, and is probably the weakest Shinju currently. It’s hard to say for sure, as neither he nor Matsuri have had many opportunities to fight yet. However, since he was created from a non-shinobi, it’s safe to assume he’s weaker than his peers.
Despite this, Mamushi is still incredibly strong. In Chapter 4, he has a brief fight with Boruto where he demonstrates exceptional strength and speed. He can also transform his arm into a giant carnivorous plant. In addition, he seems to be a powerful sensor, as in Chapter 5 he senses Eida spying on him with her Senringan.
3. Matsuri
ShueishaMatsuri, the only female member of the group, was created by Meogi of Konoha, Konohamaru’s friend and instructor of Team 10. She appears to be just as strong as Mamushi, but unlike him, she has the advantage of being created by a ninja and thus having access to their ninjutsu.
Aside from that, Matsuri has another ability that is hinted at in Chapter 13: she can harvest Soul Thorns to create new Shinju. This could mean they no longer need a code to increase their numbers. It also makes her invaluable to the team.
2. Hidari
ShueishaIn a shocking twist, Chapter 4 reveals that Sasuke was devoured by Code’s Claw Grime and turned into a tree. From his chakra, Hidari was born. He is currently the second strongest Shinju, which is to be expected since he was created from one of the most powerful shinobi of all time.
Hidari has access to most of Sasuke’s techniques that do not require the Sharingan. He can use Chidori and Lightning Release fluently. Hidari can also use the Uchiha clan’s Fire Release and Wood Release.
Hidari is strong enough to defeat Konohamaru instantly. Although Sarada gives him a tough fight, she ultimately loses to him. Boruto successfully defeats the Shinju with his Uzuhiko technique.
1. Law
ShueishaJura is the obvious leader of the Shinju. He is also the undisputed strongest of all. Of the four (soon to be five), he is also the most mysterious, as we do not know his origins. All we know is that he must have been created by a very powerful person, as he is even stronger than Hidari.
So far, he has shown his abilities the most in his group. He can sense certain chakras in a person. Most notably, he can detect that Himawari has Kurama inside her before she even finds out. He is also exceptionally fast and strong and has mastered Wood Release.
Jura can create miniature tail beast bombs with his eye, an ability none of his fellow Shinju have displayed. He is strong enough to defeat Himawari in her Bijuu Mode, letting Boruto save her silently without trying to fight him.
In Kashin Koji’s vision in Chapter 13 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, the Shinju are clearly visible. This means that they will likely be the main antagonists throughout the story. In the vision, Jura is also the leader, so he will remain the strongest God Tree Incarnate.
