Greetings, Fort Worth Star-Telegram readers! Today I’m excited to introduce a better way to get the most out of the news, sports, commentary and more you expect from us every day.
You will find the Star-Telegram edition where the eEdition used to be on star-telegram.com.
While eEdition is an electronic facsimile of the printed newspaper, Edition is a curated collection of the latest news that leverages the capabilities of the digital world without the limitations of the printed newspaper.
For example, Edition is not tied to the print newspaper’s early deadlines, meaning you’ll see more of the Cowboys, TCU and Rangers scores that often don’t print the next day. (But you can still visit our homepage at star-telegram.com for the latest breaking news.)
The edition also includes visual journalism such as videos, photo galleries and interactive graphics that you don’t get in the eEdition.
Here are some other highlights and new features of the edition:

Interactive puzzles and games that you can play digitally. (You can still print your puzzles if you prefer to do it that way!)

I’ve been in the news business since the pre-internet days and have seen every step of the digital transformation in local news delivery, and the Edition is simply the best step I’ve seen yet for those who want to read timely and organized news on their favorite electronic device.
The edition will initially feature local news, sport and commentary, followed by a national edition containing all the content you used to find in the Extra Extra sections of the eEdition.
If you are a current eEdition reader, you can access the edition in the same way: via a link that arrives daily in your email inbox or by clicking on the navigation drop-down menu at the top left of the star-telegram.com homepage.
And if you’re reading this and wondering, “What the heck is he talking about?” because you don’t know about the eEdition, here’s what you can do: Sign up for the Edition’s daily alerts email after clicking on the Newsletter tab at the bottom of our homepage. (There you’ll also see our full menu of other newsletters you should definitely check out.) The Edition is a benefit available only to subscribers.
