Qualification for the America’s Cup e-Series, the official e-Sports championship of the 37th America’s Cup by Louis Vuitton, is underway.
The first finalist will qualify during the weekly online final on August 10 at 21:00 CEST. The event will be streamed live on the official America’s Cup Twitch channel. The winner will secure first place in the America’s Cup e-Series Grand Final.
The Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup has entered esports with AC Sailing and the first ever esports AC Championship will consist of six online qualifying rounds, one per week. Each week, the top 8 players from the America’s Cup e-Series weekly qualifying rounds will be selected to compete in a playoff final and the winner will earn their place in the America’s Cup e-Series Grand Final which will take place in Barcelona on September 28th.
On Saturday evening (10 August), the first eight virtual sailors will compete against each other. They come from all over the world and fight for their place in the grand final in a virtual online environment. They have the chance to participate in the prize pool of €50,000 and compete against the winners of the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup on a real AC40 yacht – the World Sailing Boat of the Year 2023.

Player of the week in the first online qualifier was BenbengFRA from France with a total score of 2675. He will be challenged by players from New Zealand, Italy, Great Britain, Australia, Venezuela and Scotland, with the youngest being 15 and the oldest 39. They have all shown that they are truly among the world’s best virtual sailors and have outstanding skills in high speed foil racing. They all agree that they are all desperate to win and secure a place in the grand final in Barcelona.
