Around ten people who were supposed to board the plane that crashed in Brazil on August 9, 2024, made a mistake while boarding.
On Friday, August 9, 2024, a plane crashed near São Paulo, Brazil. The crash killed 61 people, including all passengers.
But that day, another plane was on the same flight as the one that crashed. About ten passengers were able to escape because they took the wrong flight.
The lack of information on the display boards led to confusion in the choice of boarding gate.
When I arrived here (at the airport), I waited for the flight, but the display boards and loudspeakers showed nothing. There was no one at the counter.”

Shortly before his flight, an employee informed him that he could not board the plane: “I even argued with him, but in the end he saved my life, he did his job“ said the passenger.
The same passenger threw himself into the employee’s arms in tears when he learned that the plane had crashed.
Two other people told local news portal CGN that they got lost at the airport and staff refused to let them board. They were initially angry but now say they are relieved.
Following this fatal crash, the Brazilian Center for the Investigation and Prevention of Aircraft Accidents (Cenipa) has launched an investigation. The analysis of the black boxes found on August 11 is currently underway.
