The Hidden Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles is a private, gated community in the San Fernando Valley known for its celebrity residents (such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Drake, to name a few) and impressive real estate.
However, there are few properties in Hidden Hills that offer the space, amenities and architecture of 5521 Paradise Valley. When Texas-based energy trader Michael Maggi bought the property in 2019, it first broke records as the most expensive home ever sold in the neighborhood. Now Maggi is hoping to break another record and has listed it for $27.45 million – making it (as of press time) the most expensive residence ever for sale in the posh enclave.

Famed real estate agent Tomer Fridman of the Fridman Group says this is “one of the most beautiful new acquisitions in Hidden Hills.”Recently redesigned by Maggi’s wife and interior designer Erin Maggi, the 1,500-square-foot, six-bedroom, 11-bathroom home wouldn’t look out of place in California’s wine country with its use of natural materials, a neutral and moody color palette, and lush textures.
The restored traditional aesthetic is a pleasant surprise compared to many modern LA mansions. Expect open beam ceilings with custom lighting, European oak floors, a double height entry, wood paneled ceilings and high-end materials like the stunning onyx bar and wine counter.

“The house itself is a work of art with meticulous architectural precision and a thoughtful arrangement of form and function,” says Fridman Robb Report“Building such a building with top amenities on a 7.4-acre site in one of the most prestigious gated communities is an opportunity for ultimate peace and seclusion.”
However, Maggi has outdone itself in terms of amenities. The focus is on fitness and wellness, with facilities ranging from a professional tennis court and volleyball court to a glass-enclosed gym and sauna, and two three-par golf holes. There are also winding private golf cart paths to take you to each spot. Other opportunities for relaxation include the 65-foot zero-edge pool and spa, home theater, sunroom and 11-car garage.
