Days after screenshots of the various characters were posted online, the official trailer that was shown at Comic-Con has now been released online. The video, which looks Florence Pugh‘S Elena Belova takes center stage when she is reunited with her father, the Red Guardian, played by David Harbour.
Yelena’s journey begins after the events of “Hawkeye,” where she admits that she feels like she is “drifting away.” In an attempt to find her footing and purpose, she throws herself into some secret missions that lead her directly into a clash with John Walker, also known as US Agent in the role of Wyatt Russell And Spirit played by Hannah John-Kamen and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.
The clip also introduces audiences to the character “Bob,” aka Robert Reynolds or The Sentry, played by actor Lewis Pullman. Twitter users who saw the leaked clip noticed the character’s belt buckle, which is easy to miss in the trailer.
Also featured in the trailer is Sebastian Stan as Bucky also known as the Winter Soldier. He is seen pulling his Wakandan-engineered arm out of the dishwasher and getting ready to join the Thunderbolts as they set out on their mission.
The clip ends with Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who meets the strange bunch and says: “Look at you, so charming.”
The film also stars Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, aka Red Hulk, a role he will first take on in “Captain America: Brave New World”.
The Thunderbolts are a group of former Marvel villains who come together to complete secret government missions. Thunderbolts* is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2025.
