The New England Patriots will host a preseason week for the second consecutive year on Thursday, playing a game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

There is already some familiarity between the two teams as they hold joint practices on Tuesday, and they will leave the practice environment for a more exciting showdown in Week 2 of the NFL preseason.

Rookie quarterback Joe Milton III stole the show last week against the Carolina Panthers. Will he get a chance to continue that against an Eagles defense that will likely finish in the top 10 in the 2024 season?

And more importantly, how much playing time will Drake Maye get this time around? The rookie quarterback was only on the field for one drive last week, and he already played a fair amount of snaps in Tuesday’s scrimmage.
