The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is hosting a Family Fishing Day at the 2024 New York State Fair from noon to 5 p.m.
Free fishing equipment and rods for fishing in a pond are available to trade fair visitors.

When: TODAY, Friday, August 23, 12-5pm
Where: New York State Fairgrounds, by the pond next to Gate 10 / Trolley Stop 6.
At 2:00 p.m., the DEC will announce a new fishing opportunity for Labor Day weekend to promote affordable outdoor recreation opportunities.
Don’t miss the DEC Aquarium in Building 6, in the colonnade next to the Dairy Building, with large tanks filled with fish and amphibians from Oneida Lake.
