Today’s match order, Raducanu’s opponents and how to watch on TV

Harriet Dart has reached the second round of the US Open for the first time after effortlessly defeating Chloe Paquet in New York.

Dart is currently enjoying the best time of her career and after making it to the third round at Wimbledon, she has now won her first main draw match at Flushing Meadows.

The 26-year-old dropped just two games in a dominant performance that earned her a 6-1 and 6-2 win. The victory lifts her ranking to a provisional career-high of 66 in the world rankings.

She will have her hands full to repeat her performance at Wimbledon, as she will face 13th seed Emma Navarro in the next round.

Earlier, Jan Choinski became the first British casualty after suffering an agonising five-set defeat to Roberto Carballes Baena.

Choinski, ranked 276th in the world, secured a place in the main draw at Flushing Meadows through qualification and earned $100,000 (£75,730).

And it seemed like he would be eliminated quickly, as he was two sets and a break behind the world number 55.

But the British number 10 caught up and sent it into a deciding set, but Carballes Baena regained control and claimed a 6-2, 6-3, 5-7, 6-7 (5), 6-3 victory.

Later in the day, Katie Boulter, Dan Evans, Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu will all be in action in the first round.
