Tom Brady announces he will be replaced by Bill Belichick in the media role for the 2024 NFL season

Tom Brady has announced that Bill Belichick will take over one of his media duties as he prepares to make his debut in the Fox Sports booth ahead of the NFL season.

The 47-year-old seven-time Super Bowl winner has hired his former mentor as his successor on the “Lets Go” podcast, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.

Brady, who won six of his seven NFL championships with the Patriots under Belichick, co-hosted the SiriusXM program along with former commentator Jim Gray and Larry Fitzgerald, a former 11-time Pro Bowler and wide receiver who played 17 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals (2004-2020).

Brady and Belichick released a statement explaining that it was none other than the former quarterback who recommended his old Patriots coach for the role.

“I threw the ball for Coach Belichick for 20 years,” Brady said. “Now I’m handing him the microphone on ‘Let’s Go!'”

“I’ll be listening every week because I know Bill and Jim will have a lot of great conversations, and I’m looking forward to my guest appearances and working with them throughout the season.”

“I thank Tom for his recommendation. When Jim gave me the opportunity, I said let’s go for it,” Belichick said.

“When people say ‘Let’s Go!’ it conveys a sense of camaraderie and teamwork, that everyone involved has the same goals and the same enthusiasm. And that’s exactly how I feel about joining the ‘Lets Go’ team at SiriusXM.”

The first episode of Belichick’s “Lets Go!” podcast on September 2 will feature Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby, who recently posed for snaps with former U.S. President Donald Trump.
