Toronto Blue Jays release training schedule for spring 2025

The Toronto Blue Jays are heading for last place in the American League East in 2024, but the outlook for the 2025 season is already optimistic as the Jays have released their spring training schedule for next season.

The Jays open the Grapefruit League on February 22 at home (Dunedin, Florida) against the New York Yankees. In total, they will play 15 home games, including three with a split team.

They will finish Grapefruit League play on March 23 to prepare for Opening Day on March 27.

Before the Jays can begin spring training again in 2025, they have an incredibly important offseason ahead of them. Many questions need to be answered this offseason, including whether manager John Schneider is coming back. Also, will the organization give Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a long-term contract extension or try to trade him? And what about Bo Bichette? Will he be in training camp next season or will the team move on? The Jays also saved money at the trade deadline by trading away Nate Pearson, Yimi Garcia, Justin Turner and Kevin Kiermaier. So will that money once again be used to invest in the roster or will the organization scale back spending?

All these questions will be answered before the team comes to Dunedin next February, but first we have to finish this season.

After defeating the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday, Toronto has Thursday off and will be back in action Friday afternoon when they face the Chicago Cubs at 2:20 p.m. ET.
