Tottenham CONFIRMS £65million Dominic Solanke transfer with comic video as fans say ‘Wow, you guys have done it again’

1) Tanguy Ndombele – £52.7 million

Ndombele arrived from Lyon in 2019 with great expectations after breaking Tottenham’s transfer record.

However, he subsequently only made 91 appearances for the club, scoring ten goals, and will now leave the club one year before the end of his contract.

2) Richarlison – £49.3m

Richarlison almost broke the £50 million mark when he joined from Everton as a replacement for Harry Kane in 2022.

And although his 12 goals this season are a significant improvement on the three goals he scored in his first season at Spurs, he is being talked about leaving in the summer.

3) Brennan Johnson – £46.8 million

Johnson was signed by Ange Postecoglou last summer and impressed at times in his first season in north London.

He scored five goals and provided ten assists in 38 games and will look to build on that in the 2024/25 season.

4) Cristian Romero – £44.2 million

Romero initially joined on loan from Atalanta in 2021 before securing a permanent deal the following year due to his impressive performances.

He is two games away from his 100th appearance for Spurs and although he can be a little reckless with his tackles at times, he forms a promising duo with Micky van de Ven.

5) James Maddison – £39.4 million

Maddison was given Kane’s number 10 shirt upon his arrival at Spurs and hit the ground running, scoring three goals and providing five assists in his first eleven games.

But after suffering an injury against Chelsea in October, he was unable to return with the same intensity, contributing just five goals in 15 league games and failing to make England’s final 26-man squad for the European Championships.

6) Davinson Sanchez – £35.7 million

Sanchez joined Spurs from Ajax in 2017 and played more than 200 games in six years.

However, he was always considered a somewhat inconsistent defender, who did not play more than 20 games in any Premier League season from 2020 onwards.

7) Pedro Porro – £34 million

Porro was another new signing, originally arriving on loan in January 2023 before signing permanently last summer.

He has made 54 appearances for Spurs, scoring seven goals, and has impressed under Postecoglou this season.

8) Micky van de Ven – £34 million

Rapid’s Dutch centre-back Van de Ven was named Spurs’ Player of the Season in his first season at the club.

His speed, athleticism and technical ability on the ball probably make him Postecoglou’s best signing yet.

9) Moussa Sissoko – £29.8 million

Sissoko arrived in north London for a substantial transfer fee after being relegated with Newcastle and enjoyed five years at Tottenham, where he made more than 200 appearances.

Unfortunately for the French midfielder, he is best known for causing a controversial penalty for handball in the first minute of Spurs’ 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the 2019 Champions League final.

10) Giovani Lo Celso – £27.2m

Lo Celso arrived on loan from Real Betis in 2019 – a contract that was finalised the following season.

He has scored 10 goals and eight assists in 108 games, although some Spurs fans are still unsure about the Argentine.
