Travis Scott is dragged out of a Paris hotel after his arrest on video

New video footage has emerged showing Travis Scott – whose real name is Jacques Webster – being dragged in handcuffs by police officers from the lobby of a five-star Paris hotel and placed in the back seat of a police car early Friday morning.

The 33-year-old was wearing a yellow hoodie, black sweatpants and sneakers while two police officers held his arms on either side.

One officer was seen speaking to Scott while another officer restrained him.

The hotel staff at the Four Seasons Hotel George V tried in vain to block the cameras’ view, as the police eventually persuaded the rapper to give up his resistance and go outside.

Scott came out of the hotel door with his head bowed as three officers put him in the back seat of a police car.

The “Butterfly Effect” artist continued to look down as he appeared to briefly answer the police officer’s questions.

As Page Six reported Friday morning, Scott got into an altercation with his security guard when a local paparazzi allegedly managed to get into the trunk of his car.

“They were yelling at each other and the hotel freaked out and called the police,” the insider said of the incident.

The Paris prosecutor’s office said in a statement to NBC: “I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for attacking a security guard.” BACKGROUND

Scott, who is in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games, which he competed in on Thursday, was taken into custody shortly after 5 a.m. local time.

Page Six sources have said Scott will be released Friday afternoon Paris time.

The Paris prosecutor’s office said in a statement to NBC: “I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for attacking a security guard.”

The statement continued: “The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the criminal police.”

Travis Scott was arrested in Miami in June. BACKGROUND

The ten-time Grammy nominee was arrested for drunk driving on June 20 in Miami Beach, Florida.

Although the charges were later dropped, Scott reportedly still faces trespassing charges.

Scott’s lawyer Bradford Cohen told Page Six at the time: “Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding. There was absolutely no physical altercation and we thank the authorities for working with us to reach a quick and amicable resolution.”
