US Open 2024: Emma Raducanu plays against Sofia Kenin on Tuesday; Katie Boulter, Jack Draper and Dan Evans also in action

British women’s tennis number one Boulter, seeded 31st, kicks off at 16:00 BST against Belarusian qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich.

Draper, the British men’s singles number one and seeded 25th, will face China’s Zhang Zhizhen at around 7pm BST as the men’s singles enters the post-Andy Murray era.

Former world number one Murray retired after the Olympics last month, when he played doubles alongside Evans.

Evans, 34, faces Russia’s Karen Khachanov at around 6pm BST and will be hoping to find joy in a difficult year in which he has won just four singles matches on the ATP Tour.

Many big names are also involved.

Italian world ranking position for men Jannik Sinner is playing for the first time since it was announced that he tested positive for a banned substance.

The 23-year-old, who was cleared of any guilt or negligence by a court last week, will face American hopeful Mackenzie McDonald at Arthur Ashe Stadium at around 7.30pm BST.

Poland’s Iga Swiatek, The leading player in women’s tennis opens Ashe Stadium on Tuesday when she plays against Kamilla Rakhimova at 17:00 BST.

In the night session, which begins at 00:00 BST on Wednesday, the Spanish third-placed and 2022 champion Carlos Alcaraz plays against Australian Li Tu, who is seeded sixth Jessica Pegula and then competed in an all-American match against Shelby Rogers.

Russia’s Men’s Champion 2021 Daniil Medvedev, Wimbledon runner-up Jasmine Paolini and American 11th place Danielle Collins, who will retire at the end of the season are among the players who will be in action at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

Greek 11th place Stefanos Tsitsipas and Kazakhstan’s fourth Elena Rybakina Feature in the stands before Raducanu’s match.
