“Vought Rising” EP Paul Grellong signs new TV deal with Sony Pictures

EXCLUSIVE: On the heels of The boys prehistory Vought rises green light for a series from Prime Video, the studio behind The boys Franchise, Sony Pictures Television, has extended its overall contract with Paul Grellong. An executive producer of The boys Since season 3, Grellong has been showrunner and executive producer of the spinoff Vought riseswith The boys“Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash,” which he also developed and wrote.

As part of the new two-year deal with Sony TV, Grellong will continue to serve as executive producer for The boys and as EP/Showrunner at Vought risesIn addition, he will continue to develop projects for the independent studio aimed at streaming and network platforms.

This is Grellong’s third consecutive overall deal with Sony TV. His partnership with the studio dates back to 2019, when he created the following in only his second foray into TV development: The Hilla drama about media and politics that was sold to NBC. A year later, another sale of a Sony television followed, Antarctic to CBS. Both projects were produced through Josh Berman’s Sony TV-based Osprey Productions.

Grellong was an aspiring playwright when he was approached by the“Law & Order: SVU” showrunner Neal Baer. Grellong began his television career on the NBC crime series and then worked on Fox’ Terra NovaNBC’s revolution and CBS’ Scorpio And Hawaii Five-0. before accession The boys at the beginning of the third season.
