Deadpool and Wolverine has made waves with his heartfelt love letter to fans. However, one of the most notable Deadpool variants is Nicepool, a friendlier version of the Merc with a Mouth. Now it looks like he secretly made his first comic book appearance without fans noticing.
In “Weapon X-Traction: Part Seven” by Ryan North and Javier Garrón, Deadpool and Wolverine are introduced to versions of themselves that Atleza Langunn, the Guardian of the Infinite Abyss, calls superior to them in every way. She claims that “You are more competent” And “More fun” than the 616 versions of the characters. However, the most interesting of the two is undeniably the better Deadpool variant. He looks strikingly similar to Nicepool from the city. Deadpool and Wolverine with his chiseled features and long, blonde hair.
It’s uncanny how similar he looks to Nicepool, suggesting that Marvel may have been planning to make him canon in the comics ever since his appearance in the film.

Deadpool’s overpowering personality suggests that he is Nicepool, not just his looks

Aside from his stern appearance, the biggest proof that Superior Deadpool is secretly Nicepool is the way he interacts with Earth-616 Deadpool. The very first thing he tells the antihero is how to improve his skincare routine, suggesting that he try “a facial moisturizer with integrated sun protection factor.” It’s a huge bummer for Deadpool because it insults his appearance so much. the way Superior Deadpool delivers the line perfectly captures Nicepool’s personality from the movie.
In Deadpool and WolverineNicepool is portrayed as a far nicer version of Deadpool. He constantly gives compliments and does his best not to cause a fuss. However, this easily annoys Deadpool because he is so nice, leading to him using the variant as a human shield towards the end of the film. The fact that Superior Deadpool speaks so kindly is proof that this variant of the character could be Nicepool in disguiseand while he suffers a fatal death in Deadpool and Wolverinethat doesn’t stop him from sneaking into the comics.

The absolute best detail about Superior Deadpool, however, is his mask. It’s simply a half-mask that only covers his eyes to mimic the iconic Deadpool look. Everything else is fully exposed to show off his luxurious hair and chiseled jawline, which makes Nicepool such a hilarious character Deadpool and Wolverine. He’s a nuisance to Deadpool because he seems so perfect. He’s basically the opposite of what Deadpool is, and if this really is his comic book debut, his new mask accentuates his obnoxiousness in the best way possible.
Of course, this will not be the end of Superior Deadpool. The storyline of “Weapon X-Traction” is expected to continue in X-Men #2, where he and Superior Wolverine will work to save the multiverse, so there could be a reveal that shows he is secretly Nicepool. However, if this is the official debut of the Dead Pool Variant, it is a brilliant introduction for Nice Pool as Marvel embodies what made him so funny in Deadpool and Wolverine with impeccable character and costume design.
