Wear your black and gold gear for College Colors Day on Friday

Friday is National College Colors Day – an annual celebration to promote the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience. Since 2004, College Colors Day has been held on the Friday before Labor Day to mark the start of the college football season and to honor the traditions and spirit that make the college experience unforgettable. This year’s theme is “Don’t miss the moment.”

Vanderbilt will celebrate College Colors Day on August 30, just before the season opener on August 31, when the Commodores face Virginia Tech at 11 a.m. at FirstBank Stadium.

Today and tomorrow, Vanderbilt encourages students, alumni and members of the extended Vanderbilt family to wear their black and gold gear with pride to show their support and allegiance to the football team and the university. Show off your unique style by sharing photos and videos of your College Colors Day gear, tagging Vanderbilt on social media and using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay.

If you do not have the necessary VU equipment, Vanderbilt University faculty and staff receive a 10% discount on most merchandise at the Vanderbilt Bookstore with a university ID card.
