I can’t believe it’s already the end of August. This summer felt endless – especially when I was trying to sleep in a bedroom without air conditioning – and it was over too quickly. We’ve had a week of rain and clouds here and I’m already missing the sunshine. I’d love to hear in the comments: What’s your favorite time to read?

Today I have some news on my reading life, including a graphic novel that completely blew me away and left me sobbing in the middle of the night. A big thank you to my roommate who listened to me as I tearfully tried to explain why this book was so good and then offered me a chocolate chip cookie to help me recover.
