What if…? Hero makes comic book debut in Kahhori: Reshaper of World #1 – Comic book adaptations and superhero movie news

Kahori was the breakout character of What If…? Season 2. As a member of the Mohawk Nation, she used her newfound powers to fight the forces that threatened her homeland. Now she’s making the leap into the comics, with a Marvel Voices Anthology special.

The special, titled “Kahoori: Reshaper of Worlds,” picks up after the episode “What if… Kahoori Reshaped the World?” The young heroine has secured peace in her world and helped save reality from a mad version of Doctor Strange. However, the multiverse of madness isn’t done with her yet.

While chasing a strange enemy from the sky world, Kahhori finds herself in Hell’s Kitchen on Earth-616 in the 21st century. Culture shock is the least of her problems, however, when her enemy begins to wreak havoc in Manhattan. An all-star team of guest stars will join forces with her against this strange threat.

Kahhori comic in honor of Native Americans

The episode “What If…?”, which introduced Kahoori, was praised for many reasons. Not only was it an imaginative story that really took advantage of the “What If…?” concept, but it also offered a respectful portrait of Mohawk culture. Great care was taken at every level of production to use Mohawk language and art. That same care is also put into “Kahoori: Reshaper of Worlds,” whose release is timed to coincide with Native American Heritage Month.

Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds is brought to you by a diverse team of talent. The main story is written by Ryan Little, who co-created the character Kahhori and wrote her What If…? premiere. The writing team includes Indigenous creators Arihhonni “Honni” David and Kelly Lynne D’Angelo. The art team includes acclaimed Marvel artists David Culter and Jim Terry, with additional artists to be announced later.

Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds #1 will be released in all comic shops on November 6, 2024.
