What you missed at Hub City Comic Con 2024

After a year off, Hub City Comic Con returned better than ever, with an exceptional guest lineup, a wide variety of vendors, and fantastic participation from the Lubbock community.

I’ve always been a huge fan of conventions, going with my family as a kid. Everything from the nerdy merch to the stunning cosplays made it an amazing experience that I will always love.

Lubbock hosts numerous conventions each year, but Hub City Comic Con outdid itself this year and it showed in the number of attendees.

The venue was packed with vendors, special guests, and people enjoying everything that was offered. The panels were a huge success, the lines to see the special guests were long, and the Civic Center was buzzing with energy all weekend long.

They did a great job and selected as special guests three voice actors from the hit series “Hazbin Hotel” and two voice actors from the popular anime “Kaiju No. 8”, as well as Cosmo and Wanda from “The Fairly OddParents” and other great actors from other anime, video games and series.

I had the opportunity to speak with almost all of the voice actors, except for those from Hazbin Hotel, as they were booked and busy all weekend long. It’s always fun to see guests with such a large fan base at these events.

If you didn’t get a chance to go, or want to relive the weekend, keep scrolling to see photos of some of the amazing special guests who attended this year.
