WhatsApp will soon allow users to choose the app’s main color via a new design feature

WhatsApp is preparing a new theme feature that will allow users to choose the main color of the app. The feature will be rolled out to a limited number of Android beta testers starting with the 2.24.18.6 test version and will soon be available to other app users.

The company has been testing new UI features for a long time. A main goal of these features is to improve the interactivity of the app and make it more user-friendly.

From now on, WhatsApp brings a new design feature with a significant change in the main color of the app. The default color of the application is green, but users can change this shade based on the two themes: light and dark in the app.

The inputs show that the light design replaces the original green tone with the dark black color. It offers a richer look with a simple and clean appearance.

On the other hand, the dark theme changes the color to white. All icons such as chats, calls, updates, communities and the top of the app are displayed in white. This gives a clearer appearance to the screen and further improves readability for users.

The newer versions use these two themes to display icons and other elements in the app in a light green or slightly neon shade, but with the latest version, these elements will be displayed in either white or black, depending on the theme you choose.
