Pre-orders for Dragon Age: The Veilguard officially went up yesterday, along with an October 31 release date. I watched retailers filter their standard and deluxe editions onto their websites in the hours that followed, all the while comparing each shop’s shipping times, costs, and added bonuses. The $69.99 standard edition and $89.99 deluxe edition (not to mention the $219.99 monster-sized coffer edition) are all now widely available in the US – but where should you shop?
The best place to pre-order Dragon Age: The Veilguard is currently Best buy. Not only does the store offer pickup options on release day, but it also includes a free $10 gift card. That’s the only bonus (aside from the standard extras with pre-orders) that I’ve seen on shelves so far, making it your go-to place this weekend. On those shelves, you’ll find both the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X (both versions include the free gift card). However, if you’re an EA Play member, you can save 10% on a digital pre-order through the PS Store or Xbox Store.
Things are a little quieter in the UK as retailers work on getting their product pages online. For now, I recommend going The game collection first. There you’ll find a £12 discount on the £69.99 Standard Edition game with free shipping. At the time of writing, your only alternative is Game, which is on offer at full price and with high delivery charges.
All pre-orders of Dragon Age: The Veilguard include an additional bonus in the form of cosmetic Blood Dragon armor, but the Deluxe and Coffer Editions also offer plenty of extras.
