Will painting your teeth pink be the next big beauty trend?

You can’t show off your sparkling white teeth this holiday season: Apparently rainbow-colored teeth are in fashion.

The latest edgy beauty trend is to paint teeth in a colorful shade like pink, green or even metallic copper, thanks to the introduction of temporary chrome tooth varnish.

The product, which acts like a nail polish for the teeth, can be used to color the entire mouth or to highlight one or two “accent teeth.” The formula, which lasts up to 24 hours but can be removed in seconds, is said to be smudge-free and tasteless and is available in ten vibrant shades.

“We see this becoming commonplace – from club vibes to an everyday fashion accent in the workplace,” the brand’s creator, David Silverstein, told the New York Post. He added: “Maybe you’ll go to work with a tooth that matches your nail polish or hair color.”

If blue teeth aren’t an interesting look for you, don’t panic: According to the publication, a glitter version of the product is also in the works.

The rainbow-colored beauty trend has been dominating the industry for some time now. “Rainbow hair” has become a hit thanks to various incarnations, including “Brony Hair,” inspired by the 1980s television series “My Little Pony,” “LaCroix Hair,” inspired by the soda water brand’s candy-colored packaging, and “Neon Hair,” which rose to popularity last summer.
