Grace Kelley, the daughter of country music star Wynonna Judd, was arrested and booked into an Alabama prison on Friday after allegedly exposing herself on a busy highway.
Kelley, 27, was booked into the Elmore County Jail at 5:05 p.m. on Friday, April 5. She is charged with public nuisance and obstruction of governmental operations, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. Her bail is set at $1,000 and she lists her address as Millbrook, Alabama.
At a busy intersection between Interstate 65 and Highway 14 in Millbrook, Kelley allegedly “exposed her breasts and lower body” and then refused to provide identification when officers attempted to arrest her, according to charging documents obtained by AL.com. She also allegedly sat down in the street and refused police commands.
It remains unclear whether Kelley — who shares Judd with ex-husband Arch Kelley — has an attorney, and a Millbrook police spokesperson did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
The arrest is just the latest setback for Kelley, who has been in and out of jail due to a series of legal problems since 2016, when she was arrested for meth possession.

In 2018, at age 22, Kelley was sentenced to eight years in prison for leaving a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program, thereby violating her probation.
The Daily Beast reported that she was released from prison in December 2022, but was rearrested in May 2023 for violating a protective order, restraining order, and probation. Kelley was rearrested then and reportedly released in October.
In March 2022, she gave birth to her daughter Kaliyah Chanel while on temporary leave from prison, and her mother Wynonna, 59, has since expressed her joy at raising her granddaughter.

“She is 6 months old and doesn’t speak yet, but she sees through me,” Judd told Today Show in 2022. “She gives me hope…. They give you hope; they give you something to think about other than yourself. Because so much of what we do is about ourselves, so it’s nice to be around her because she doesn’t care what I look like.”
Judd spoke supportively about her daughter to PEOPLE in 2022, saying Kelley was always the first to correct her.
“Gracie will be the first to say, ‘Mom, that’s not exactly how it happened,'” she said. “It’s not about judging, it’s just about calling me out when I get too big for my britches, as they say. And Gracie is the one to do that.”
