Wynonna Judd’s daughter was arrested for the second time since April after fleeing from police

Wynonna Judd’s daughter spent a day behind bars after attempting to flee from police, her second arrest in just four months.

Grace Kelley, 28, spent a single day in jail when she was arrested on three misdemeanor charges in Georgia last Saturday, according to court documents obtained by several media outlets. She was released on $2,750 bail.

Kelley’s alleged offenses include fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving on a suspended/revoked license, and improper use of motorcycle equipment.

In April, Kelley was initially charged with solicitation of prostitution and public nuisance after she allegedly exposed her breasts and lower body at a busy highway intersection in Alabama.

The charge of soliciting prostitution was eventually dropped and the charge of public nuisance was reduced to the lesser offense of public indecency. Kelley was fined $200 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended.

However, Kelley was also charged with obstruction of government operations for allegedly refusing to identify herself to authorities. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail on that charge.

Kelley’s run-ins with the law date back to at least 2015, when she was charged with facilitating meth manufacturing. She pleaded guilty at the time to the lesser offense of meth possession.

In 2018, Kelley was sentenced to eight years in prison for violating her probation after leaving a rehabilitation facility before completing the court-ordered program. She was granted parole just one year into her sentence.

Kelley was sentenced to prison again for violating probation in the summer of 2021. At the time, she was pregnant with her daughter, Kaliyah. A judge eventually granted her temporary leave due to her pregnancy and she welcomed her daughter in April 2022.

Last October, Kelley was released from prison again after being arrested in May 2023 for violating a protection order and probation.

In late May 2022, just weeks after the birth of her granddaughter and the suicide of her mother Naomi, Wynonna Judd spoke about her family’s “cycle of addiction” and “dysfunction.”

“In order to be a healthier grandmother to my firstborn grandchild Kaliyah… I must continue to be there for myself {first} and do the personal healing work,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“I know it’s a simple step program and that sometimes it’s not easy to take those steps,” she continued. “So I’ve made a commitment to keep doing the ‘next right thing’ and making weekly appointments so I can continue with the work in progress, even when I have good days.”
